Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get our website live?
We pride ourselves on speed and simplicity. Once you choose your template and provide your event details, we typically have a professional mockup ready for your review within 3-5 business days. After your final approval, your site is live and ready to share with guests immediately.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to manage the site?
Not at all! We handle the heavy lifting for you. Our “done-for-you” service means you simply send us your photos and text, and we build the site. If you need to make an update later—like changing a hotel block or adding a photo—just send us a quick message and we’ll take care of it.
Our synagogue/community has specific customs Can you work with that?
Absolutely! You can send us any specific instructions from your shul — from dress expectations to security procedures — and we’ll include them clearly on the site.
We’re not very religious – Is this for us?
We’re very religious – Is this for us?
Would you believe the answer to both of these is the same? It’s YES!
We work with families across the spectrum — Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, Modern Orthodox, and “just Jewish.” You control the language on your site and how much religious detail you want to include. We simply give you a structure that respects the significance of the day.
When should we set this up?
Most families start 4–6 months before the mitzvah. That gives ample time for invitations to go out and guests to use the site. If your date is sooner, we can often move faster — just reach out and we’ll let you know.
What if our details change?
No worries – we’ve got you. Two rounds of edits are included with the core package. If you expect lots of last‑minute adjustments, our Concierge Updates add‑on gives you unlimited updates up to the day of your simcha.
Can’t I just use Evite or a Google Doc or build my own?
Answer: You could — but most families end up with information spread across multiple places, different versions of guest lists, and guests still texting with basic questions. We’ve done the hard thinking about what mitzvah guests actually need to know and built a simple, elegant way to give it all to them in one place. And unlike DIY builders, we do the setup and design for you.
How do we receive the RSVPs?
You can choose the method that works best for your lifestyle. We can set up your site to send an instant email to you every time a guest responds, or we can compile everything into a clean, organized spreadsheet that you can view 24×7 on line.
Can we password-protect our website?
Absolutely. If you want to keep your event details, photos, and registry private, we can add a password-protection layer. This ensures that only guests with the “secret code” from your invitation can access the information.
Is the website mobile-friendly?
Yes, every site we build is fully responsive. Whether your guests are viewing the details on a phone, a tablet, or computer, the layout will automatically adjust to look beautiful and remain easy to navigate.
Can we include both the service and the party details?
Definitely. We provide dedicated sections for each part of the milestone. You can include maps and directions for the synagogue, dress code requirements for the reception, and even specific timing for the cocktail hour and candle lighting ceremony.
What happens to the site after the Bar/Bat Mitzvah?
Your website stays live for three months after the event date. Many families update it with photos and use it as a keepsake for relatives who couldn’t attend.
Can we link to multiple gift registries or charities?
Yes. We can create a dedicated “Gifts & Mitzvah Project” page that includes direct links to your retail registries, as well as information and donation links for any charitable organizations your child is supporting for their Mitzvah project.

Adam has been amazing creating the website for my daughter's upcoming Bat Mitzvah. He is excellent at responding to requests in a timely manner, and making suggestions on the site's content when I wasn't really sure what I needed. The site is beautiful and professional. Highly recommend!!!Posted on Courtney KleinebreilTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a wonderful experience working with Mitzvah Websites for our son's Bar Mitzvah website. They made the entire process easy, smooth, and stress-free, which I truly appreciate during such a busy time. Adam and his team were incredibly responsive, patient, and attentive to details. They listened carefully to what we wanted, guided us when we weren’t sure, and created a beautiful website that felt personal and perfectly suited for our family and event. Any edits or questions we had were handled quickly and thoughtfully. One really cool feature they offer is that after my son's Bar Mitzvah, I can send them pictures of the event and they will upload them onto the website to make it a post Mitzvah page with all the highlights and pictures for everyone to see. I love that! If you’re looking for a professional, reliable, and kind team to help create a Bar or Bat Mitzvah website for your family, I highly recommend Mitzvah Websites.
